The S.T.A.R.S. (Singers Taking Action Reaching Souls) is a nine-voice international vocal ensemble that has come together with the sole purpose of uplifting the planet with song. Nuhjume, (meaning "stars" in Arabic) the Trio from The S.T.A.R.S.: Carolyne, Natalie and Nadine, has been singing together for the past eight years at prestigious venues worldwide.
Harvey & Carolyne Fuqua founded The S.T.A.R.S. in the year 1995 as a result of their determination to inspire young talent and create a global community through music. Harvey Fuqua was a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member, founder of the Moonglows, founding member of Motown Records, discoverer and mentor of Marvin Gaye, The Spinners, Jr. Walker, Etta James and countless internationally recognized artists. As director of Motown’s Artist Development department, Harvey was responsible for the presentation of all of the acts, and, if they are alive, they are still utilizing the skills he instilled in them. The S.T.A.R.S. are Harvey's legacy.
For many years, Carolyne, as a member of a popular trio, shared the stage with Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Tom Jones and a host of notables, performing in world renowned venues on three continents. However, one of the things she's most thrilled about is having been chosen to be one of the sisters in the HBO special, "Sisters in the Name of Love," starring Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, and Dionne Warwick. As a songwriter and producer, Carolyne wrote for and/or produced many well-known performers, such as Gladys Knight, Della Reese, Nancy Wilson and countless others.
Nadine is regularly seen performing at venues worldwide, from Los Angeles to Lebanon, and has opened for the likes of Sheryl Crow, Dwight Yoakum & Vonda Shepard. She has worked extensively in New York with Stephen Schwartz and in Washington D.C., she appeared at The Kennedy Center with Artist Director, Placido Domingo.

Along with her time with The S.T.A.R.S., Malesa sings in New York in the band Leon and The Peoples with the actor, Leon Robinson of “The Five HeartBeats, “Cool Runnings,” and “The Temptations,” .
Together, this talented trio revels in the joy of creating unforgettable harmonies that touch and transform people’s hearts forever.
